How to Program your One For All® remote
( URC-5060/5061)
Set Up
After getting the proper codes from your manual or Customer Service, use the following instructions to enter them into your remote.
- Press the device you want to program, then release.
- Press and hold the SETUP button until the red LED flashes twice, then release.
- Enter your 3 digit code.
- You should receive 2 quick flashes after entering your code.
Write the code that worked your device down and put it somewhere safe. (i.e. on the back
of the TV).
Blinking Back the Code:
This is useful if your remote is still working but you have forgoten what device code you are using.
- Tap the device Key - Release
- Hold "SETUP" until it blinks twice - release.
- Press 9 - 9 - 0.
- Press 1, Count the number of blinks. (1st digit)
- Press 2, Count the number of blinks. (2nd digit)
- Press 3, Count the number of blinks. (3rd digit)
If the remote DOES NOT blink it means the number is 0.
Redefining a key
- Hold "SETUP" Until it blinks twice.
- press 9 - 9 - 2.
- press the DEVICE key you want moved
- press the DEVICE key you want to replace.
Example: If you want the AUDIO1 key to be a TV key:
"SETUP" (2 blinks) 9 - 9 - 2, TV (you want to move TV)
Then AUDIO1 (you want to replace AUDIO1).
Punch Through
This sets Volume to work for one device in all modes.
For example, the TV volume will work in the cable and VCR modes.
- Hold "SETUP" until it blinks twice - release.
- Press 9 - 9 - 3.
- Press the device key you would like the volume to come from.
You will get two blinks on the remote.
If you want to set the volume for a device to work just one or two
other devices- refer to the instructions under "KEYMOVER-From one button to another"
Volume Default
Use this to get Cable or VCR volume to work.
- Hold SETUP until it blinks twice - release.
- Press 9 - 9 - 3
- press the VOLUME key, you will get two blinks.
Now The volume is set for all original devices.
Clearing Out
A Device Key - Or Another Button
- Tap the device Key - release.
- Hold SETUP for Two blinks - release.
- Press 9 - 9 - 2
- Press the button twice. - Two blinks.
All Key movers, and Defaults
- Tap the device Key - release
- Hold "SETUP" for two blinks - release
- Press 9 - 8 - 0 -- Two blinks.

An Extended Function To A Button
- Tap the DEVICE key - Release.
- Hold "SETUP" for two blinks - release.
- Press 9 - 9 - 4.
- Tap the "SETUP" button and then the tree digit extended function.
- Tap the button you wish to use for that function - Two Blinks.
From One Button to Another
- Hold "SETUP" until it blinks twice - release.
- Press 9 - 9 - 4.
- Tap the DEVICE and the FROM button
- Tap the DEVICE and the TO button -
- Two Blinks
EXAMPLE: To take the volume from a TV and put it in the VCR mode,
it would be: SETUP - 9 - 9 - 4 - TV- VOL UP - VCR - VOL UP - two blinks.
You would have to do the same process for VOL DN and MUTE.
Favorite Channel Keys
Your One For All® 5 Device is equipped with a favorite channel key ( FAV CH ). You can set up the FAV CH key with a list of up to 10 of your favorite channels on either your TV or your Cable Box/Satellite/DSS.
NOTE: The FAV CH key can only be set up for one device (TV,CABLE, SAT) at a time. You cannot set up a favorite channel on another device key until you have cleared the FAV CH of your original list.
- Press the device key, (TV, VCR, or CBL/SAT), for the device that will contain your favorite channel list. --
- Press and hold SETUP until the remote blinks twice. Release SETUP and press 9-9-6.
- Enter the channel number of the channel would like to add to your favorite channel list. Then press SETUP .
- If you are entering a single digit number, you must press 0 first.
- If you are entering a three digit number you do not have to press SETUP after you have entered the channel number.
- If your original remote control required you to use an ENTER instead of SETUP after entering your channel number.
- Continue adding your favorite channels up to 10 channels. Once you have finished, press and hold SETUP until the remote's red light blinks twice.
- To scan through your favorite channel list, press FAV CH . Your One For All® 5 Device will automatically scan through your favorite chann--el list, stopping on each channel for three (3) seconds.
- To stop at one your favorite channels, press any key on the One For All® remote.
To clear an entire favorite channels list from the FAV CH key.
- Press and hold SETUP until the remote's red light blinks twice, then release SETUP .
- Press 9-9-6 then press and hold SETUP until the remote's red light blinks twice.
Using the Sleep Key
The sleep key allows you to access the sleep timer of your TV or Cable Box. Even if your original TV or Cable Box remote control did not have a sleep timer, your One For ALL® 5 device has its own built in sleep timer. If your TV or CABLE box has a sleep ti--mer, press the SLEEP key to activate the sleep timer. To activate the One For All® 5 Device's built-in sleep timer:
- Press the desired device key (TV, or CABLE), then press the SLEEP key once to set the built in sleep timer for 15 minutes.
- Each additional press of the SLEEP key will add 15 more minutes to the sleep timer, up to a maximum of 60 minutes.
NOTE: Once you have activated the One For All® 5 Device's built-in sleep timer, you must keep the remote pointed directly at the component.
- To deactivate the built-in sleep timer, press any key other than SLEEP.
Using the Finder with your One For All® 5 Device
If you purchased the One For All® 5 Device with finder (URC5061), your remote comes with a separate Finder Transmitter used to find your remote control should it get lost or misplaced in your home. The transmitter also comes with a velcro strip to attach it to a ba--se item such as your TV or VCR. Follow these simple directions to use your 'Finder":
- Your Finder Transmitter requires one 9 volt battery.
- To find the One For All® 5 device remote (model URC5061 only), press the button on the Finder Transmitter. The red arrow will light up, indicating that the transmitter is sending a signal. Your
One For All® 5 Device will then start beeping indicating that your remote control has been located. The beeping tone will last approximately 5 seconds.
- To hear the beeping tone again, just press the Finder Transmitter's button and the beeping tone will resume for 5 more seconds.
